Tonging adds to the beauty of playing the bansuri (Bamboo Flute), this technique can be seen beautifully used in the works of Shri PT. Hariprasad Chaurasia

Below are the different techniques which will help you for tonging practice:

1st try and play a single sur for more than 30 secs.

2nd after this try these various syllables while blowing:

While blowing try saying:

1. Ra Ra 
After you have mastered playing Ra Ra on sur 'sa' try Ra Ra along with sa re ga ma pa dha ni SA. Try playing both together and in the same way try playing the other syllables also.

2. Ta Ta

3. Da Da 

4. Pa Pa

5. Cha cha

6. Ka 

7. Pa

8. Ga ga

9. Ta ra ta ra

10. Tu Ku Tu Ku

11. Ta ka ta ka

12. Dha Ga dha ga

13. Ta Ka Ka Ta
